Chelsea are reportedly ready to sanction a £24 million bid for Porto teenager Ruben Neves.
The midfielder is one of the most highly thought of prospects in Europe with the Mirror claiming Juventus and Liverpool are also interested in acquiring his services.
Liverpool have long been linked with the 19-year-old who is valued at around £35m by his club with three years still on his current contract with Porto.
Chelsea want to open the bidding with a £24m plus player and add-ons offer for Neves and hope to tie up a deal for him by the end of the winter transfer window.
Antonio Conte already spent big on a defensive minded midfielder in N’Golo Kante in the summer, but it seems as though the Italian boss would now like further options with Nemanja Matic continuing to underwhelm at Stamford Bridge this season.
Chelsea have already made contact with the player and expect an answer from Neves and the club at the start of November on whether a January deal is possible.
Neves has four appearances for Porto this campaign, spending six games sitting on the Portuguese club’s bench, but played 38 games in all competitions last season.
