GEOFFREY KONDOGBIA’S agent has claimed he has held talks with three great coaches about a deal for the Inter midfielder in the summer.
The Frenchman arrived in Milan in 2015 with big expectations after his €31m switch from Monaco.
However, things have not gone to plan and he’s fallen down the pecking order in the Italian city.
Liverpool and Chelsea were tipped to make a move last month but nothing materialised before the window closed six days ago.
Now, Kondogbia’s brother and agent Evans, insists the midfielder’s stock is still high.
He told French magazine SoFoot: “When things weren’t going well for him at Inter, three great coaches called me.
“When he was experiencing that situation with Frank de Boer, I asked him what had happened, he replied, ‘nothing, he’s a good coach, I just didn’t fit in his plans’.
“He was really calm and so was I because I know that he’s a world-class player.
“I’ve seen them say that he’s done poorly at Inter, yet I’ve read his statistics on dribbling, successful passes and recovered balls,” Evans added.
“Pogba is the best in the world in his position, Geoffrey comes after him, alongside Toni Kroos and Sergio Busquets.
“They are guys who make their teams play, win back many balls but don’t score much.”
