Blow for Liverpool as the €64m-rated attacker won’t leave until the World Cup

Christian Pulisic has emerged as one of the best teenage prospects in football today and as you’d expect, has been heavily linked with a transfer away from Borussia Dortmund.

Premier League sides Liverpool and Manchester United are both said to be keen on signing the versatile American forward, but ESPN report that Pulisic is not ready to consider a move until after next summer’s World Cup in Russia.

It has been claimed that the €64m-rated United States international is planning for a future move to the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona down the line but for now he remains committed to Dortmund.

The 18-year-old left-winger has scored eight goals and provided 13 assists in 56 senior games for Dortmund and is primed for a bigger role in the first-team this season, especially if Ousmane Dembele completes his potential £100m move to Barcelona before the transfer window shuts next week.

For now, Liverpool and Manchester United will have to bide their time until Pulisic is ready to reconsider his future.
