Arsenal fans spotted Aubemayang’s cheeky Twitter activity after Alisson transfer

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will enter the 2018-19 campaign as one of the frontrunners for the Premier League Golden Boot.

Obviously, the likes of Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Mohamed Salah will ensure winning the award is an incredibly difficult task but there’s every reason to suggest the Arsenal man will deliver goals aplenty.

Spectacularly signed from Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window, the 29-year-old made a satisfying start to life at Arsenal with 10 goals in 14 appearances.

And now that Aubameyang is settled in English football, his goal record could become even more impressive as the months roll by.

However, the Premier League happens to boast some of the world’s best goalkeepers and Liverpool ensured there was another top-class shot stopper entered the mix this week.

After losing patience with Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet, the Reds went as far as shelling out a world-record fee for their number one target.

That came in the form of Alisson Becker who was procured from AS Roma to the tune of £67 million.

Quite how he’ll compare to the likes of David de Gea, Ederson and Hugo Lloris remains to be seen but his form in Italy suggests Aubameyang and co. are up against a tricky task.

And amidst all the reaction to the Alisson transfer, Aubameyang himself has even got himself involved with a cheeky piece of Twitter activity on Friday night.

Arsenal innocently posted a photograph of Rob Holding somersaulting into a swimming pool and compared it to Aubameyang’s trademark celebration. So far, so normal.

However, one Arsenal fans decided to reply with a video of Alexandre Lacazette scoring past Alisson with the caption: ‘The most expensive goalkeeper have already been punished by laca.’

For Aubameyang, it was a video too good to ignore – check out his tweet below:
