Andrew Henry Robertson is already a legend in the eyes of Liverpool fans.
The Scottish left-back has been one of the key reasons behind the team’s drastic improvement under Jurgen Klopp.
Arguably the best in his position in the world, Robertson’s £8m transfer fee will rightly go down as one of the Premier League’s greatest pieces of business.
But it’s not just the former Dundee United man’s brilliance on the pitch that’s lead to his adoration among Kopites.
The Scotsman is quite the character off the pitch and he’s also a very popular man in the Liverpool dressing room.
Robertson recently released a book detailing his career on Merseyside so far and one revelation inside is yet more evidence of why he’s loved by his teammates and fans.
After winning the club’s sixth European Cup in 2019, the 26-year-old sent a very emotional text to club captain Jordan Henderson, congratulating him on his success.
The quote from ‘Robbo: Now You’re Gonna Believe Us’ reads: “You know I’m not a very serious guy Hendo but I hope you realise you’re now a Liverpool legend!
“In the history of this club only five captains have lifted this trophy and you are one of them! Could not happen to a better person you are a leader on and off the park and drive these lads forward in ways you won’t give yourself credit for.
“I know you’ve dealt with a lot since being captain and I hope now you are appreciated as much as you are by the lads that have the pleasure of playing alongside you!
“It was emotional watching you lift that trophy so can’t imagine what it was like for your friends and family! You are the man skip.”
