Liverpool’s impressive season continued with a 5-0 win over Napoli in Dublin.
Jurgen Klopp’s side defeated Manchester City and Manchester United during their trip to the United States, and their performance against the Italians will only serve to increase the confidence in the dressing room.
James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum scored in the first half and Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno finished Napoli off in the second.
It was an impressive display from the Reds, and just what Klopp was looking for with the return of the Premier League just a week away.
The German will also have enjoyed watching his defence keep a clean sheet.
Alisson was making his first appearance following his £67 million move from Roma and he didn’t disappoint.
His pass to Mohamed Salah in the opening minutes, which led to Milner’s goal, was a thing of beauty.
ALISSON AT FULL-TIME
The 25-year-old didn’t have a great deal to do but he looked confident from set pieces and carried himself well.
Keeping clean sheets will help Alisson endear himself to the fans, as will acts of generosity.
And the Brazil international showed his class when a young fan ran towards him at the end of the match.
Alisson gave the lad a hug and also gifted him his gloves.
A young pitch invader makes his way to Alisson at the final whistle. He responds by giving the young lad a hug and his gloves. #LFC
