West Ham United winger Michail Antonio has told Sky Sports that he enjoyed playing with Liverpool star Adam Lallana.
Antonio played with Lallana, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, at Southampton during the 2009-10 season when he was on loan from Reading.
The 26-year-old has fond memories of playing with the England international midfielder and has included him in the best 11 players he has ever played with.
The West Ham winger has also praised Lallana for sticking with Southampton when the Saints were in the lower divisions.
“It does not look like he is quick, but he manages to just glide past players, he does tricks so slowly, but it always works out!” Antonio told Sky Sports about Lallana.
“He just has got both feet, shoots with both feet, crosses with both feet and now and then he gets goals.
“So when we were playing in League One, all the Premier League teams were trying to sign him and he stayed with Southampton and worked his way up into the Premier League.
“And now he is at Liverpool and playing for England. A quality player who I enjoyed playing with.”
Lallana is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and is a key player in the current Liverpool team.
The England international has scored seven goals and created 24 chances in 18 Premier League appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side so far this campaign.
Antonio has scored eight goals and created 17 chances in 19 league matches for West Ham so far this season.
Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment, while West Ham are currently 13th in the standings.
