It was the first calendar year for Jurgen Klopp in charge and as it wore on we began to see the kind of football we were going to play under him and where it could take us.
The end of last season saw us go on great journeys whilst the beginning of this one has seen us once again return to where we belong – in a title charge.
We’ve seen plenty of new signings come in and have a positive impact whilst hard work off of the pitch came to a completion in both impressive and poignant situations.

JUSTICE AT LAST
Finally, on 26 April, the families of the 96 Hillsborough victims were at last given the verdict they had known all along – that the police were at fault for their deaths.
27 years on from the disaster the families and everyone else connected with the club were at last given closure on a subject that had caused so much heartache and, whilst the Reds have enjoyed success on the pitch this past twelve months, no victory will ever come close to what was achieved earlier this year.
