Liverpool are reported to have slapped a £40million price tag on the head of Daniel Sturridge as doubts surround his future at Anfield.
Sturridge has again had his problems on the injury front this season, and missed a spell with a hip problem and a virus, but will be available to face Watford on Monday after recovering from his latest setback.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is willing to cash in during the summer and use the money to bring in new players, but he will not let the England international go on the cheap despite his injury problems.
When fit, Sturridge has proven his class in front of goal when firing home 59 goals in 115 appearances for Liverpool, and that kind of record commands a large fee.
Sturridge will not be short of offers. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is known to be a big admirer, while West Ham United and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be in the hunt.
