Jurgen Klopp has fired Liverpool back to the top of the pyramid in England, and the Reds currently sit in first place in the Premier League.
Liverpool have been impressive up and down the pitch – but our landlord thinks that they are struggling up front.
The Reds think that whilst both Benteke and Balotelli needed to be sold over the summer, Jurgen Klopp did not adequately replace them – and that is something that needs to fix in the new year.
There are a host of strikers that could prove to be excellent signings for Klopp – and he must act sooner, rather than later, as he looks to bring them in.
With that said, here are 4 strikers who’d be absolutely superb January signings for Liverpool…
Lucas Alario is a fast-emerging Argentine talent that Klopp would be wise to pick up in the new year.
Currently playing for River Plate, Alario has already scored 4 goals this season – and at just 24-years-old, Alario would represent a long-term solution to Klopp’s offensive woes.
He is, crucially, a natural number 9 – and he would fit perfectly into Jurgen Klopp’s system.
Much has been made about Alexandre Lacazette over the last few years, and he has long been touted with a move to the Premier League.
He has been in outstanding form so far this season, having picked up 10 league goals in just 7 starts – and he is beginning to cement himself as one of Europe’s most prolific frontmen.
Jurgen Klopp, in truth, lacks a genuine number 9 – with Sturridge failing to impress this season; and Lacazette could be the perfect man to take over the reigns.
He would become the most natural finisher at the club since Luis Suarez – he really is that good.
Sardar Azmoun has recently been touted with a move to Anfield, and in truth – it is easy to see why.
Labelled as the ‘Egyptian Messi’ by the punters, that title says it all – fast, technical, a dribbling expert and a prolific goalscorer – Azmoun has everything.
At just 21-years-old, Azmoun would undoubtedly be a long-term solution for Jurgen Klopp; and whilst he may not be on fire right away – he will no doubt quickly adjust to life at Liverpool and life in the Premier League.
Make it happen, Jurgen.
Perhaps Klopp’s solution could lie in more familiar territory?
Liverpool have made quite the habit of signing Southampton’s best players as of late – and Charlie Austin has really grown into his role with the Saints.
He would carry an advantage over the other options in this list as he is already a Premier League player – and would, therefore, have no trouble adjusting to life at Liverpool.
If Klopp wants a surefire goalscorer – Austin is his man.
