In just over a week’s time the January transfer window will be flung open for business in what could be the most crucial for us for some time.

The Reds are well in the title race this season with us just six points behind leaders Chelsea in second but many feel that what we do in January will decide how close we get to the Premier League crown.

Certainly, we have the first XI to compete with absolutely anyone in the division but it’s arguably our squad that could leave us wanting when we reach the crunch this season.

January, then, marks the best opportunity to negate that factor and with Sadio Mane off the African Cup of Nations, right wingers could be on Jurgen Klopp’s list.

We certainly think that is the case and so, with that in mind, here are three right sided wide-men we think the boss should consider signing in the window…

ANTONIO CANDREVAcandreva

Candreva is rapid and would be a very good player for the Reds.

He likes to get chalk on his boots but he can also come inside and influence the game whilst he’s got a very keen eye for goal. Four strikes and four assists are to his name this season and with his current club Inter Milan struggling for any kind of form he might be tempted to jump ship and try his hand on these shores with the Reds.

NICO GAITANnico-gaitan-argentina

Gaitan joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica in the summer but has been limited largely to substitute appearances since.

Diego Simeone’s men are trying to find what had made them so good over previous seasons but haven’t quite yet and Gaitan may be tempted to move on soon. He can play down either wing but predominantly prefers to go down the right and would be a good, versatile option to have in the squad for the rest of the season.

JOSE CALLEJONjose-callejon

The Spaniard has been in superlative form for Napoli this season and looks only set to continue that.

He’s scored eight goals and contributed ten assists so far in all competitions this season which isn’t bad at all for a man that likes to play out wide. He can go through the middle too, though, and may be the best option of the three here to fit into Jurgen Klopp’s fluid attack.[/nextpage]
