Well the dust has firmly settled on January and, in the main, we’re glad to see the back of it.
There were very few ups to celebrate in the first month of 2017 – we’re sure you don’t need reminding – and the Reds hardly redeemed themselves in the transfer window with signings.
Indeed, no-one came in to the club throughout the month leaving our squad looking as thin as it was when we started the month and so Jurgen Klopp and FSG will need to work on that for the summer.
Even so, we were certainly linked with plenty of names whilst we’re sure there were other players that you’d have liked to see come to Anfield before the deadline.
And so, without wishing to dwell too much, here’s three players the Reds should signed for our midfield…
This would have been our first choice signing – regardless of position.
The young American can play anywhere in the attacking midfield positions and would have definitely added some fresh impetus and ideas to our tired-looking central areas. Under Jurgen Klopp he’d have come on leaps and bounds but it looks like we may not get him for some time now.
