Spartak Moscow have signed Quincy Promes’ replacement and are reported as being prepared to sell the winger.
Liverpool have been short of natural pace ever since Raheem Sterling left the club in 2015 to join Premier League rivals Manchester City. Sadio Mane’s big money arrival from the South Coast marked the arrival of a player who can beat a defender with pace, but the Senegal attacker is leaving next month to join his country on international duty and this will leave Liverpool shorthanded once again.
Klopp has made use of youngsters in Ovie Ejaria and Ben Woodburn in cup games to cover for Mane but neither possesses genuine speed. Sheyi Ojo has recently made his comeback and has been playing in the reserves but the 19-year-old is not ready to play regularly in the Premier League.
A January target for Liverpool is Spartak Moscow’s Quincy Promes. The winger has scored six goals and made seven assists in 17 Russian Premier League games this season, but his pace and directness are things which make him appealing to Jurgen Klopp.

Spartak have signed 32-year-old winger Aleksandr Samedov from rivals Lokomotiv Moscow, signalling the opportunity to sign Promes in January. The Dutchman would cost around £25 million and is only 24 years of age and FSG are said to be ready to give Klopp a January kitty that would more than cover the signing of a new winger.
Back in April 2015, the winger revealed he has rejected Manchester United: “I can confirm there was interest but, I felt I wasn’t ready for a move to Manchester United”.
Klopp was supposedly interested in Promes when he was manager at Dortmund in 2014 and he may well have a chance to sign him in a month’s time.
