2 pros and 2 cons of Liverpool signing the depending Premier League champion

With just two games left of 2016 now, it’s time for the Reds to seriously start thinking about who they are going to sign in January.

We’re firmly in the title race this season with us currently second in league – six points behind Chelsea.

That may seem like a pretty significant gap but with plenty of the season still to play there’s more than a good enough chance for us to reel them in and win the title.

January could be crucial to that if we sign the right players and the latest rumour doing the rounds is Kasper Schmeichel to join us according to Football Whispers.

The Leicester City stopper helped the Foxes win the league this season but has had some injuries this year whilst his team have fallen well away from their form of 2015/16.

It’s an interesting potential move, then, and ahead of anything more concrete we’ve decided to have a look at the potential pros and cons of him coming to Anfield…

This has to be the biggest advantage of signing Kasper Schmeichel – he knows how to win the league.

You look through our starting line-up and very few have won the title in this country whilst on the bench there’s very little in the way of that experience, too. Compare that to Chelsea, then, who have bags of experience and all of a sudden signing Schmeichel makes sense. We’ve seen before how a lack of this crucial knowledge wrecks things for us so it’d be ideal to get some in.
