To many, there’s one team that nearly always stands out as the favourites for the Africa Cup of Nations and this year is no different.
The Ivory Coast are one of the highest rated teams at the competition once again this season and you can certainly see why with the top players they have at their disposal.
Indeed, they’ve had some great stars available to them over the years, too, and so that progression of players over the last few seasons has to suggest this latest bunch are going to be top drawer.
Certainly, they’ve got some of the best young stars available to them at the moment and we reckon the Reds should be seriously looking at who they could sign from that country over the coming weeks.
That in mind, then, here are two Ivorians we want Jurgen Klopp to consider signing…
The powerful midfielder has the potential and almost the expectancy to be one of the stars of the show this month.
He’s shone for Atalanta this season and has looked like the next Yaya Toure with the way he busts forwards and scores goals. If he can play well here there’s almost a certainty that he’ll move to a big European side in the very near future.
Zaha is representing the Ivory Coast after switching allegiances from England so it’ll be interesting to see how he does.
He’s powerful and fast and has looked a more complete player this season so whilst Palace will be hoping he has a quiet few weeks – he may be seeing this as an opportunity to get out of the relegation threatened side. A good performance at this competition could launch his career properly.
