2 alternatives the Reds must consider signing to Sead Kolasinac this month

Ahh, the left back area, how we’ve spoken about it at great length this season.

Our left side of defence has caused a great deal of talking points this campaign and, up until now, playing James Milner there has paid off.

We’ll hold our hands up and say openly that we didn’t expect it to go this well but so far the former Aston Villa man has simply been a revelation in that role.

Even so, to not have another decent option in that area still seems careless with Alberto Moreno simply not good enough.

Indeed, we could do with an orthodox left back despite Milner’s heroics but it appears, according to Calciomercato, we could miss out on Sead Kolasinac with Juventus lodging a bid.

We could have to look elsewhere for a left back, then, and so with that in mind here are two other options we reckon the Reds need to consider in this window…

JONAS HECTORhector.jpg

Hector is a real class act and would be more than ideal to bolster our title challenge.

Our defence has actually not been too bad at times (though at other times it has) and we reckon with a player like the German involved the inconsistencies would be all but stamped out. He can fly forward, too, and so we think this man should be priority number 1 for the left side of our defence.

BEN CHILWELLChilwell.jpg

Maybe Jurgen Klopp wants to sign someone that hasn’t quite made it at the top level yet and so Chilwell could be an option.

He’s beginning to play more and more for Leicester City but with them not going to be in the Champions League or Europa League next season he needs to think about moving on. He could work well under Klopp whilst his age would ensure James Milner gets to carry on down the left for now.
