10 goals, 90% passing accuracy: Liverpool should make a move for 25-year-old midfielder

Liverpool are reportedly showing an interest in signing Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder Isco in the summer transfer window.

According to reports from Spanish outlet Don Balon, Liverpool are resigned to losing Philippe Coutinho, and sees Isco as an ideal replacement for him.

While Jurgen Klopp has made it very clear that Liverpool won’t part ways with Coutinho in the near future, the Spanish press continue to link him with a move away from Anfield.

Isco will be a great addition to Liverpool

The Spaniard may have not left a strong impression as yet since joining Real Madrid from Malaga in 2013, but he is a supremely gifted and top class footballer.

Known for his measured passing and eye for creativity, Isco is a joy to watch when he is on song. This season he has scored 10 goals in La Liga and provided six assists.

With 1.3 key passes per game, and with 90% passing accuracy, as per whoscored, the two-times Champions League winner has enjoyed a decent campaign for Los Blancos.

Liverpool do have a wealth of attacking talents in their ranks, but signing Isco would make them a much better team, capable of challenging for major honours.

Can Liverpool lure Isco to Anfield?

Difficult. While Liverpool can offer Isco more game time, a lucrative pay package, and Champions League football, the 25-year-old does not seem too interested in leaving Madrid.

In fact, according to Marca, Isco will sign a new contract with Madrid that will keep him at the club till 2022. Nevertheless, the Reds should make an attempt to lure him before he commits to a new deal at the Bernabeu.
